The Company

Severn Waste Services is the leading waste management company in the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. We are responsible for managing around 450,000 tonnes of household, commercial and industrial waste each year. The general public in the two counties produces the majority of this waste - around 390,000 tonnes - and we manage its recycling, recovery and safe disposal as necessary on behalf of the two county councils.

As no single method can deliver a complete solution for managing waste in the two counties, our current operations and development plans include raising public awareness, waste minimisation, increased recycling and composting, energy recovery and disposal of waste residues to landfill.
