Household waste sites
There are 16 household waste sites across Worcestershire and Herefordshire where the public can bring materials for recycling and any general/bulky domestic waste not collected by their district authority. Actually we ought to call these recycling sites because some 70% of the materials accepted are recycled or otherwise diverted from landfill. There will be a notice at each facility showing how well your local site is doing.
The location, opening hours and range of recyclables accepted at each site is given below:
Household Waste Sites; Christmas and New Year Opening 2011
All of the household waste sites in Worcestershire and Herefordshire will be closed on 25th and 26th December 2011 and 1st January 2012. Note that the site at Hallow Road, Worcester, will also be closed on Tuesday 27th December and Monday 2nd January 2012.
Other than on these dates , normal opening hours will apply for all sites except Quantry Lane, Bromsgrove, which is on reduced hours/loss of light hours and will only close at 4.00pm.

Refurb bikes available at Hereford, Kidderminster and Worcester East
Vehicle Weight Restriction - Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight over 3.5 Tonnes are not permitted to use any of the Household Recycling Centres in Herefordshire or Worcestershire.
