Issue No.12: Update on construction mobilisation of EnviRecover
The major construction activity, to form the concrete walls of the bunker and adjacent structures by ‘slip forming,’ will start this week and will continue around the clock for 20 days.
The concrete works will be supplied by a temporary on-site concrete batching plant, which will reduce the number of HGV traffic movements associated with this work. A number of minor changes to the layout and building form of EnviRecover have been approved by the Planning Authority as non-material amendments to the planning permission. The changes relate mainly to detailed designs proposed by the contractor, as well as the need to accommodate specific requirements of the statutory utilities provider.
A revised set of drawings can be viewed here, and at County Hall, by appointment. If you have any queries, please address them to Envirecover@severnwaste.co.uk
