Issue No.17: Update on construction mobilisation of EnviRecover
Work is due to commence this week on the installation of the 66KV high tension power cable that will enable EnviRecover to export electricity generated on site to the National Grid.
The connection will be made to the 66KV circuit that runs roughly east to west, some 500 metres to the south of the Hartlebury Trading Estate. The work, to be carried out by contractors for Western Power Distribution (WPD), will involve trenching and cable laying across the fields up to the trading estate, through the estate, and into a new substation to be built by them adjacent to the EnviRecover turbine hall and transformer.
The cable laying will require a crossing of Crown Lane to the east of the trading estate entrance gates. It is understood that this crossing will most likely be made over a single weekend and should not involve a complete closure of the road.
The works will be undertaken during normal daily working hours and are expected to be completed in around 10 weeks.
