Issue No.20: Update on construction mobilisation of EnviRecover
The installation of the plant boiler has been completed and the boiler pressure test was carried out satisfactorily on 12th December 2015. Substantial progress has been made in the installation and insulation of pipework and flue gas treatment systems.
The excavation of the bunker has been completed and casting of the bunker walls and floor is in progress. The crane beams on top of the bunker walls have been cast and the first of two cranes have been lifted into place.
Work continues on fabrication and erection of the main plant building with sections of the perimeter walls and the roof structures are now in place. High winds in early December impeded progress on the building erection to the extent that demobilisation of the main tower crane is now delayed.
Work also continues on the installation of the process equipment and the electricity grid connection including the sub-station within the site.
A large proportion of the site workforce has now stood down for the Christmas break. There will be a small number of people on site during the holiday period with full 24/7 security.
Site maintenance is on going and there have been no significant operational and maintenance issues.
The Community Liaison Group met on 23rd November 2015. Minutes of the meeting will be posted on this website shortly.
